Birthday Bash Day 24 - Allison Cassatta

So for our next guest, I would like to introduce a gal I had the pleasure of meeting this past weekend at RainbowCon. She cracked me up, gave me random trivia knowledge, and I had a great time getting to meet her. So, it is my pleasure to introduce y’all to Allison Cassatta!

My most memorable birthday experience as an adult would have to be my 30th. Let me preface this story by saying I’m a HUGE Misfits fan. They’re a horror punk band if you don’t know who I’m talking about.

The day had been hectic and people were running me all over kingdom come, even after I told them I was off-limits for the day. I had to make the backstage lanyards for the show because my husband’s band was on the bill. Anyway, I was so pissed off when I got back to the venue I ended up cussing the lead-singer of the Misfits up one side and down the other. In my defense, I didn’t recognize him without his makeup.

At that point, every friend I had made it their ambition to get me as drunk as possible. It worked. I kissed my first girl that night. It was a toothy, sloppy kiss and I wasn’t a fan, but hey, I tried it. Katy Perry might’ve liked it, but I’ll take a pass.

Anyway, the show was over and I rocked out so hard to the Misfits. What made it cool was their 30th anniversary tour landed on my 30th birthday, and even after I poured expletives all over Jerry Only’s face, he still held my cake and sang happy birthday to me. I fangirled like nobody’s business.

Allison is giving away a copy of Beast. Leave a comment with your email address to enter.

Ara Costas has it all--riches, power, and the kind of beauty that attracts all the right people. He's flying high and loves his life, until a serious car accident leaves him horribly scarred. Ara becomes an angry recluse, hiding away in his Chicago high-rise apartment, running his multimillion-dollar business from behind a computer screen.

Ilias Adams is a quiet farm boy who keeps his nose buried in books. A great education and stellar resume land him a job as Ara's assistant and liaison to the board of directors. Little did he know when he signed up for this dream job that he'd end up working for the world's moodiest, most uptight boss.

Ilias is scared of Ara at times, but he recognizes the challenge he faces when he meets Ara and sees the reason for the man's anger. Ara is guarded and suspicious, since he can't believe anyone can bear to look at him. Despite all this, Ilias is determined to turn the beast into a beauty again, at least on the inside, and tear down the walls Ara has so carefully constructed around him.

Author Bio:
It all started with a dream that made her heart wrench and a set of mesmerizing eyes that begged to be seen, and Allison Cassatta the writer was born. A techie by trade, the day-dreamer in her wanted to sail away from the mundane, while the hopeless romantic in her searched for the perfect love story. Many poems and short stories were written before her first attempt at a novel and once that piece of her soul spilled onto paper, there was no stopping it.

She has an eye for the visually stunning and a mind that screams to bring that beauty to life. She gives her readers something they can feel in the depth of their heart, creates worlds they can touch and characters that become your best friend or worst enemy.

Born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, big-city life was a rat-race that kept her busy in her career. It took moving with her new husband to a sleepy Mississippi town to make her realize that dreams can come true, and did they ever. She found herself a published author. She found her perfect romance.
