Order Out of Chaos Academic Planner Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
WHY IT WORKS!

It’s Easy. Assignments, due dates and after-school activities can be seen at a glance.

It’s Functional. Homework and studying are easily scheduled during “available” times.

It Puts the Student in Control. Students can plan time for schoolwork around after-school activities OR without leaving things until the last minute.

Developed by Leslie Josel, ADHD specialist, professional organizer, and founder of Order Out of Chaos. Leslie first conceived this planner for her student clients who needed a natural way to visualize their time in order to master it. Its ingenious design will benefit even the most able learner.

My Review:
4.5 stars

I’m very forgetful when it comes to dates and times, so I was interested in this planner since it was designed by an ADHD specialist, which is something I struggle with.

I really liked the design of the planner, especially since I’ve never seen a planner like this. The planner had a customizable subject column that was visible no matter what page you turned to, so you only had to write the subject name once (though since I take semester classes, it was a bit inconvenient for me) and each box provided room to write (I have big hand writing, so it’s always nice to have the extra room). What I ended up doing was writing out time blocks instead of subjects, and so it became more useful for me.

Another useful quality was the check boxes. At the bottom of every box, there was a box you could check once you were done with that time/what you were doing, which helped me keep track of my to-do list.

All in all, this was a very useful planner that has helped me stay on track, which is not an easy thing to do. I had an easier time accomplishing tasks, and I actually got more done since I was better able to visualize my time and manage it, which is what the planner was designed to do. I would highly recommend this planner, especially to those who have ADHD, and for parents looking for tools to help their children manage their time effectively.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
