Diablo Blanco Club Series NBtM

Blurbs:
Unfair Advantage
Eight years of waiting hadn't effected Dominant Bryce Halsey the way the last seven days had tested his control. Matie Lawrence, his perfect submissive, stood before him unaware of her potential, ready to be tutored in the lifestyle.

Battles will be won and lost between them, but the war for a Dominant's heart is a war Mattie is determined to win.

Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Anal sex, bondage, domination/submission, toy play.

Under Control
Vance was used to facing death and confronting terrorists in war, but when it comes to confessing his act of betrayal to the man he loves, Vance finds it impossible to keep his feelings Under Control.

Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Anal sex, bondage, domination/submission, toy play.

Rite of First Claim
What's a Dom to do when the submissive he wants runs from the feelings between them?

From the moment he met Lyssa Lawrence, Mike Halsey knew what he felt was love -- not lust. Convincing her has been an uphill battle even after the two steamy hours they'd shared at the Diablo Blanco Club four years earlier.

Lyssa Lawrence wished the man who claimed to love her wasn't so damned appealing. Eight years of denying the pull of her submissive nature almost went up in smoke four years ago, but she'd gathered the nerve to tell him 'no' when he asked for more. She'd have stayed away for good if her biological clock hadn't hiccuped, threatening her dreams of motherhood.

In the same way she'd strategized her success in fashion design, Lyssa worked out a plan to get the baby she wanted. The Diablo Blanco Club's annual Midnight Masquerade would provide a number of potential donors to choose from. What she hadn't bargained on was Mike's interference through an arcane Club rule.

When Mike invoked Rite of First Claim, Lyssa finally became his. Now, he has one month to prove that the role of his submissive was one she was born to play.

Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: BDSM theme and elements.

Santa's Elf
After four years of unrequited love, and steamy fantasies, Elfina "Elf" Jeffries has just about given up on gaining her boss's attention. How was any self-respecting woman supposed to seduce a man who was oblivious to her cues? Then the first gift arrived...

Every Santa needs an Elf, and Dayton Kringle is no exception. His offer for a temporary affair, just long enough to get from Christmas Eve to New Year's, will satisfy a four-year craving.

His is a simple design:

One beautiful Elf
Twelve sexy gifts
A little spanking
Some light bondage

And ten days of no-strings sex make one very satisfied Santa. But when the ten days are up, will he be able to give up the Elf of his wildest Dominant dreams?

Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Anal sex, bondage, domination/submission, toy play.

Excerpt from Unfair Advantage:
A master controls no one if he cannot control himself. The saying floated through Bryce’s mind in the interval following Rick’s comment. He split his attention between Rick’s grumblings and the couple across the room while he consumed the delicious prime rib dinner before him. He was working on an after-dinner coffee the waiter had poured when he spotted the first touch.

It had been subtle, just the slide of Victor’s hand over hers, but Lawrence’s body stiffened, and she eased away from the man the tiniest bit. Hackles rising, Bryce leaned back in the booth, his focus on the pair across the room. “Well, what have you heard about him?”

“He’s the perfect gentleman until he feels it’s time he doesn’t have to be anymore.” Rick cursed beneath his breath as Victor tried to stroke his hand down his date’s arm.

Again she stiffened and moved away, her chair lurching slightly as she nudged it farther right.

“You’re not going to do anything about this?” Rick met his gaze. His gray eyes were disbelieving, almost accusatory.

“Why should I?”

“You’ve spent the last eight years waiting, Bryce. Are you going to let another man take what you’ve been preparing?” He shook his head and scraped his fingers through his neatly styled brown hair. “Hell, I haven’t been able to figure out why you just didn’t claim her when she first showed up.”

“She wasn’t ready.” The tension in his neck eased as Bryce recalled the anger and defiance dancing in Lawrence’s brown gaze. In many ways, she’d been wise beyond her twenty-two years, but in the most important ones, she’d been far too young for what he wanted.

Qwillia, thanks so much for stopping by. So, why don’t you tell us a little about yourself?
I grew up in Las Vegas and loved having a quarter mile of open desert for my front yard. Eight years after graduating high school I moved to Alaska where I earned my Bachelor of Elementary Education. After nearly 11 years in Alaska, I moved south again to Montana and stayed there for three years—just long enough to get my Masters of Educational Technology, before I moved south again, this time to North Carolina. I’ve been here for seven years now and I enjoy the atmosphere and the history here.

How did you get started writing?
My mom says I’ve been changing the endings of fairy tales and stories since before I could read. Once I started reading I moved into making up my own tales. As for writing my first romance—it was when a friend challenged me to quit complaining about a book I’d read and write my own book. I was in the 9th grade. And it was a story of mistaken identity, ghosts, and ‘secret’ babies.

What was the inspiration for your book Under Control?
Crazy as it sounds, it was a trip to McDonald’s. I was on my way to get dinner one night and I heard this guy in my head say, “She won’t let me do it.” That was how Vance Justiss introduced himself to me. The second he started talking, I knew he needed to be listened to so I immediately bypassed the restaurant closest to my house and took the path to the one farther away. By the time I had my food and was heading back home I knew Vance was on the edge and the only one who could save him was Ben.

I love the two guys, even if they refuse to like the ladies I put in front of them, but once they had each other they were hooked—and since the only woman they were remotely tempted to commit to was killed in the raid that injured Vance, I just gave up.

Under Control was the first male-male story I wrote and I’m sure I made mistakes but the relationship between the men was what drew me the most. Once I met them and I walked through what was destroying Vance, emotionally, I knew they were going to stick with me for a very long time.

What’s the one genre you haven’t written in yet that you’d like to?
I’d like to try paranormal and young adult—not necessarily together, but I think both genres would be a challenge for me.

Are there any genres you won’t read or write in?
Very few genres I won’t read if the story grabs me, but I don’t see myself ever writing Christian Inspirational.

Why?

If I were brutally honest I might say because I enjoy writing and reading sex way too much. But there’s also the fact that I tend to focus on trust and respect and relationship building, while in most Inspirational novels, as I understand it, the focus is on faith first and foremost.

So, what are you working on right now? Got any releases planned, or still writing?
At the time I wrote this interview, I was still working on the rough raft for the second novel in my Poker Posse series and the fifth book in the Diablo Blanco Club series. Hopefully, I’ll have finished both by September (I’ll update this interview if anything changes). The Diablo Blanco Club book—if finished—will be out by October. The Poker Posse book—that would be up to my publisher.

Alright, now for some totally random, fun questions. Favorite color?
Green (Emerald or forest/hunter)

Favorite movie?
Depends on mood and genre—loved all the Iron Man movies, especially Iron Man 3. I enjoyed RED and am looking forward to RED 2. Thoroughly loved Cowboys and Aliens (Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford—yum!) Hitman, all the Die Hard movies, Constantine, The Great Escape (Steve McQueen, James Garner, and James Coburn-*sigh*), Evil Dead Trilogy (Bruce Campbell), and Tremors 1 and 2 (gotta love campy horror shows!)

Book that inspired you to become an author?
It wasn’t a book that inspired me, it was my mom. She was always brutally honest about my writing, but she always encouraged me to keep working, to keep improving. To date, she has read everything I’ve written—even the male-male books. She just skips over the “icky-sticky” parts (her words, not mine).

Alright, you have one superpower. What is it?
I’m a Time Lord (but I don’t have to regenerate!) Wicked awesome how Doctor Who gets to travel through time and space!

You can have dinner with any 3 people, dead, alive, fictitious, etc. Who are they?
Jack the Ripper, Jacques de Molay (the last Grand Master of the Knights Templar), and Edgar Allen Poe

Last question: Which of your characters are you most like and how/why?
Lyssa Lawrence and Becka Swinfield because I don’t tend to trust easily or give up control easily. The man who has the tenacity to get and keep my attention and gain my trust will have to have a will of iron like Mike Halsey and Rick Bennett.

That’s all from me, thanks so much for taking the time to stop by!
Thank you so much for having me on your blog. I hope you enjoyed Under Control, and I look forward to hearing what you think of it.

  7. Qwillia...I love the sound of Santa's Elf--and so appropriate for the season. AND, if you're a fan of Iron Man 3, you should live in my town, where it was filmed--Wilmington, NC. The series Sleepy Hollow is also filmed here now, as was the recent TV movie, Christmas in Conway.
