Fueled by Lust: Caelius VBT

Blurb:
Caelius Meron strips at Heat Seekers Male Revue just so he can find his mate. So imagine his shock when he finds her in a cooking class he was forced to attend. So what’s the problem? There’s twenty-two of them according to Rhia Brennan. Undaunted by her claim that he’s too young, Caelius battles every roadblock she places. But what if one may be too difficult to ignore?

Kallon Aceso knows exactly who should own his heart, but Ulixes Dionysus doesn’t appear to want it. But is it really something else buried so deep that it may keep them apart forever?

Travel with these two Insedi as they both chase their hearts desire, only to be thwarted by misconceptions and mistakes from the past. Can they scale these insurmountable walls, or will they have to walk away and forever mourn what they could never have?

Book 5 in the Fueled By Lust Series brings back the sexy males that make your legs tremble just by saying your name.

Excerpt:
Lowering his voice, Caelius leaned in even closer. He feared he may have disappointed her, and he didn’t want to miss any part of her expression.

“Does what I do each night bother you?”

She looked up and blinked a few times before she spoke. Her voice came low and husky, and his skin pebbled.

“No. Not in the least. It was the sexiest thing I’ve ever seen in my life.” He watched her throat work on a hard swallow before she continued.

“Your body was gleaming and showed off every single muscle as you swung that sword. It was the first time I’d seen your hair down, too. It’s…it’s beautiful. After you won, you worked your way down the row of women and paid each one of them close attention. I’m sure they felt like they were the only person in the room when you looked at them. With every song, your body swayed perfectly to the music, and it mesmerized me. I…uh…yeah…it was great.”

Caelius was having a hard time focusing on her answer. Her jasmine-scented desire had resurfaced and was wreaking havoc on his concentration, not to mention his cock. It was at full length and pushing insistently against his jeans. He said the first thing that came to mind. Something he wanted very badly.

“I want to kiss you, Rhia.” He wasn’t expecting her to recoil as if he was a hissing viper. Her laughter was shaky and broken.

“Good grief, Caelius. Why on Earth would you want to kiss me?

Celeste, thanks so much for stopping by. So, how did you get started writing?
Thanks for having me here today! Big shout out to my fans! Love you all!

Okay, back to topic. I was encouraged in my early teens by my artistic father that knew I had to get out of my head and verbalize all the creative stuff crammed in there. I didn’t actually get serious until January 2013. I’d finished my Master’s degree and found myself twiddling my thumbs. My brain needed some serious engagement, so I focused on a major item on my bucket list. It came to fruition in August 2013 when Siren Publishing picked me up. That was a very thrilling day.

What was the inspiration for your book?
Caelius is book 5 and an easy progression from the previous 4 installments. The FBL series has a grand plotline that each book adds to as it progresses. Each one gets their HEA, but the reader will see the characters throughout each book. I was inspired to write the series from a vivid dream. I was compelled to tell these guy’s stories. They were just too sweet to ignore.

What’s the one genre you haven’t written in yet that you’d like to?
I really like the erotic romance genre, but if I had to step outside of it, I believe I would head toward a fiction mystery. I’ve weaved that into my stories many times. I enjoy springing something on the reader to get that, “Oh my goodness, I didn’t see that coming!” type of reaction.

Are there any genres you won’t read or write in? Why?
I won’t go with full out erotica. I’ve read many, but just didn’t feel connected. Did they ramp up my libido? Of course! Some were very well written regarding word usage and description. I just can’t seem to get my head wrapped around building a sex scene without some type of mental connection before the backs hit the mattress. It’s just a personal thing for me. Don’t get me wrong, I love sex but my head has to be in the game to really enjoy it. How in the hell can you really trust someone enough to give yourself completely to them without that crucial link? It’s just hollow and sad after that. I’m not in it for strict titillation. I can’t picture having sex with someone that has no interest other than the many holes that something can be stuck into, so I definitely wouldn’t do that to my characters. I want to give my readers more tilt toward the romance side and the benefits of the sex being explosive since there’s an obvious mind and body attraction weaved throughout.

So, what are you working on right now? Got any releases planned, or still writing?
I’m almost complete with Maxim’s story. Maxim is one of my favorite characters. You see him throughout the other stories, too. He’s the trickster of the group and readers have been begging for his turn up to the plate. This one has some really good shockers coming for the Insedivertus race.

Alright, now for some totally random, fun questions. Favorite color?
I like wearing black. I’m not goth, but for some reason I feel ‘in my element’ when I wear black. I’ll throw some color in with it to break up the monotony, but it has to be deep colors like teal, purple, or blue. Even my Harley is black. I don’t like pastels…and keep flower print away from me. Just makes me feel like I lose some brain matter when I wear it. I know, I’m weird.

Favorite movie?
Practical Magic. Love Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman. “There’s a little witch in all of us.” <wink>

Book that inspired you to become an author?
I read Robinson Caruso when I was in grade school. I loved how it captured my imagination. I had my nose stuck in any book I could get my hands on after that point. I completely lost my fear of writing any crazy thing that came to mind.

Alright, you have one superpower. What is it?
The ability to make people actually open my links on Twitter and discover the beauty that is the Fueled By Lust series. No, seriously, it would be the ability to heal. I’d fix every broken kid out there.

You can have dinner with any 3 people, dead, alive, fictitious, etc. Who are they?
My dad, for starters. He was the coolest man I’ve ever met. Totally had it going on in the brain department. He could keep that dinner party conversation going for hours.

Tom Cruise. I seriously want to hear his take on Scientology and what the audits consist of. It’s just bald face curiosity. I don’t have any desire to ever label myself in a particular religious sense. If I did, it would totally be Wicca. I could picture the intense conversations him and my dad would engage in to the delight of my third guest…

Lucien Tarquinius, the emperor of Insedivertus. I can picture him right now with one eyebrow raised and him saying to Tom…“Yes please. Enlighten me.”

Last question: Which of your characters are you most like and how/why?
On the female side, it would have to be Tana Jameson from Lucien’s story (Book 4). She’s an FBI agent that was snatched off a cargo ship in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean by an alien species. That’s how she ended up meeting Lucien. She found herself in a very tight spot and used her training to survive. I was in the Marine Corps, so I identify with her toughness and that ability to analyze a shit storm and turn it into a win. She proves that you can be a strong woman, but still have the ability to KNOW when you finally meet that man that’s going to make you feel completely feminine. She’s been holding out for the moment that she can step behind that rare jewel and say, “Finally! You’re totally in charge big boy. I need a damn rest.”

On the male character side, it definitely has to be Cato. We both have tattoos and own a Harley. Nuff said!

Author Bio and Links:
I was born and raised in a small town between Dallas/Fort Worth and Austin. Wanting to see more than my small Texas town, I joined the Marines, which satisfied my craving to see more of the U.S. and my drive to see if I could be one of the few and the proud.

A firm believer in educating the mind, I have achieved several advanced degrees, the latest being a master’s of science.

My true love is writing erotic romance, especially about alien hunks that know how to treat their females.

Drusus, Severus, Cato, Lucien, Caelius, Maxim and many more have swirled in my dreams until I had to bring them to life and allow them to find love within the pages of the Fueled by Lust book series.

Book 1 DRUSUS was nominated as Top 5 Finalist and placed 3rd in the 2014 RWA Passionate Ink’s 9th Annual Passionate Plume Book Contest in Erotic SciFi/Fantasy Category, Book 2 SEVERUS achieved BEST BOOK review rating and won April 2014 BOOK OF THE MONTH Reader Poll at LONG AND SHORT REVIEWS, Book 3 CATO won the May/June 2014 BOOK OF THE MONTH Reader Poll at LONG AND SHORT REVIEWS. All currently released books in the series have resided made it into the Top 5 Bestseller Lists at Bookstrand.com within days of release as well as making it into the Top 10 Hottest New Releases in Erotic Science Fiction on Amazon.
