Holiday Party - Wade Kelly

I have had the pleasure of also meeting this next author at RainbowCon. The master of angst, her stories draw me in and never let me go (though you wouldn't think she was so good at the angst if you met her, as she's a very kind person). And now, here to share a scene from her newest book, Misplaced Affection, is Ms. Wade Kelly!

A Jockstrap for Christmas
When Emily asked me to do a blog post for Christmas, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to share. I thought about writing a short story just for this blog, but that would entail writing something completely different and then frustrating my readers when the intended scene was with Corey from Names Can Never Hurt Me. LOL! Sorry, you have to wait for that one.

Since I have a new release in a couple weeks, I thought I’d post a short excerpt from Misplaced Affection. An abbreviated version of the Christmas scene. Matt Boston, this bit’s for you!

Blurb:
Clichés are overrated and loving the boy next door may not be as genuine as the love Flynn sacrifices along the way.

Knowing he’s gay and acting on it were two separate notions to Flynn Brewer until he’d met Keith, his first boyfriend, in high school. Before then, being gay wasn’t as real as the pain of living day-to-day. Flynn’s fear of coming out to his religious best friend Zach in their conservative community destroyed his relationship with Keith, but Flynn rationalized his avoidance and bottled up the truth until it was regrettably too late.

Zachary Mitchell was the perfect son and role model as far as the outside world could tell. Active in his church while attending college, Zach had a personality that could sell anything, do anything, or be anything. Except, he couldn’t sell the truth to himself. Just when he was ready to reveal his internal conflict to Flynn and expose the darkness lurking in his heart, and in his “perfect” family, Zach met a girl and got sucked deeper into his chasm of deception.

Caught in a living Newton’s Cradle of his own design, Flynn must choose between idealistic childhood fantasy, or a tempestuous passion that could ignite the very air he breathes.

Excerpt:
“I hope you like it,” I said, slightly worried.
“I’m sure I’ll love it,” he told me.
Flynn opened the box and found the red fabric. “What’s this?” he asked, picking it up by the waistband. “Is this?”
“It’s a jockstrap. I thought you’d look hot in it.”
He eyed it curiously. “Really?”
“Oh yeah. Model it for me?”
Flynn set the box down and fiddled with the leg straps. He held it up in front of him and eyed the crotch. “There’s not much material there.”
“There’s enough. It’s like a little pouch to hold your junk.”
“The key word is little.”
“Come on. It’s not that bad.”
Flynn stood up. “Okay.” He kissed me and agreed. “I’ll go put it on. But I hope I’m not the only one who’ll be wearing something so seductive.”
While Flynn was in the hall bathroom, I dashed up the steps and grabbed the blanket off his bed. Right before going back downstairs I peeked into his dad’s room. Mr. Brewer was snoring. I knew Flynn said his father had fallen asleep early, but I had to make sure.
I got back down the steps in time to situate the blanket on the floor in front of the tree just as Flynn came out of the bathroom in nothing but the jockstrap. I could literally feel all the blood in my entire body flow south. He. Was. Gorgeous.
Flynn sauntered forward and dropped his pile of clothes on the sofa. He turned around like a fashion model and asked, “You like?”
I swallowed the lump in my throat. “Um, yeah.” I don’t know how I managed any words at all, let alone not stuttering, because I was feeling more turned-on by the sight of him in a jock, than when I’d seen him completely naked. Especially when he turned and I got a glimpse of the back where the straps fit around his legs and left his ass showing in all its glory. Oh yes, jockstraps were the way to go from now on!
Flynn had an amazingly squeezable ass; and I pictured doing all kinds of things to it. I literally salivated thinking about licking him straight up the crack while he modeled that jock.
“That’s it?”
Flynn sounded a bit disappointed that I had nothing more to say, but I swear my brain was oxygen deprived as other areas of my anatomy enjoyed the benefit of full circulation. I only nodded.
Flynn snickered and knelt down next to me on the blanket I'd laid out for us. “Nice touch. I’ve always liked lying under the Christmas tree. My mom used to do it with me and Nate.” Flynn grabbed the pillows off the couch and arranged them for us. “Keith?” He snapped his fingers in front of my eyes.
“What? Oh. Sorry. You’re just… wow. I really like your present.”
“It’s so much more exciting than the Xbox game I gave you.”
“That’s okay. We can play Xbox while you wear that and it will be plenty exciting.”
“I don’t think I could play in this.”
“Why not?”
“I think I’d get distracted. Besides, you’d probably have difficulty watching the TV screen and your guy would die too quickly. So, yeah, I don’t see me playing Xbox wearing this thing. At least not by itself. Unless it was after we already had sex.”
My stomach warmed. “So… you think sex might be on the horizon?”
Flynn scooted up real close to me and ran his palm over my stomach. I knew how much he appreciated the hair below my navel. “What do you think?” He got this devilish look in his eyes right before he kissed me.
I rolled onto my back as he climbed up over my body, kissing me passionately and rubbing my torso from neck to waist. He slipped his hand up my shirt and caressed my nipple with gentle circles, and then pinched it.
“Take off your shirt,” he whispered.
I did, and he reached for my groin, massaging me through my pants. I laid back and folded my arms behind my head as I watched Flynn reach his hand inside the gap caused by my flattened stomach. When he touched my naked flesh, he gave me a look. “Freeballing?”
I grinned and nodded.
“Wait. What’s…?” he asked half a question as he felt my little surprise. Flynn unzipped my jeans and smiled satisfactorily at the red ribbon I tied to my dick. “Niiice.” He slipped my pants off the rest of the way and stroked me.

For the rest, follow the blog tour, which started last week with a cover reveal. Thank you for stopping by!
