The Power of Prayer Book Blast

Blurb:
Life doesn't always go as planned; sometimes it goes better. Callie Green thought her life was planned out until her fiance leaves her at the altar, upending her perfect plans. She is spiraling out of control when she meets JD, a man who offers a love she has never known, but she is too blinded to see it. When she realizes JD is what she has been missing, she has no way to find him. All she can do is pray and hope that God sends him back to her.

Excerpt:
“Another round,” I hollered at the blond waitress who ambled past us on the dance floor. The lights flashed, and music flooded my body, relaxing the tense nerves that had taken root. The noise filled my brain, allowing me to forget about Daniel, for the time being.

Lexi’s slender body moved to the beat, her blond hair flowing against her bare shoulders. “Wow, no offense, Callie, but I can’t remember the last time you were this fun to be with.”

“Me either.” I lifted my hair to relieve the sweat trickling down my neck, and a pair of hands, not my own, landed on my hips. They were tan, strong hands, and no ring marred them.

Twisting my body to see who the hands belonged to, I hoped for someone handsome. If I was lucky, maybe it would be someone who could make me forget Daniel for a night.

The face that met mine did not disappoint. Bright blue eyes above an impish grin stared back at me. Taut muscular arms extended from what was likely an equally chiseled chest. Yes, he could do. Desire flooded my veins, and my eyes roamed over the rest of him. The hint of a tattoo peeking out of his shirt sleeve gave him the air of a typical “bad boy,” and tonight I wanted to be a “bad girl.” I locked my arms around his neck, pulling him closer so the rhythm of his hips could match mine. He flashed a sexy grin and tightened his grip on me.

Lake of Destiny Blurb Blitz

Blurb:
Helping her aunt organize a Beltane Festival in a picturesque Highland village seems like the perfect escape from Anna’s second broken engagement and the meltdown that wrecked her legal career. But to succeed, she’ll need to wrangle kilt-wearing villagers, dangerous sheep, a disaster of a dog, and the reclusive laird who refuses to open his property to the public for the ancient tradition of “Sighting.”

For centuries, Loch Fàil in Balwhither has been known to locals as a ‘thin’ place, one where the veil between worlds peels back on Beltane morning to reveal the face of a person's one true love. The tradition could draw tourists by the busload, but that’s exactly what Connal MacGregor fears will expose the two secrets he's been desperate to keep hidden.

As Anna struggles to mediate between the needs of the village and Connal’s need to protect his identity and his child, she finds herself falling in love with all of them: Connal and his daughter, the magical glen, the villagers. But day by day, opening herself to love exposes deep scars from Anna’s childhood, and confronting those wounds could finally set her free--or endanger her every chance of happiness.

Excerpt:
The problem wasn’t just that Connal was pretty. Brando was pretty. Brando was also smart, considerate, more complex than she’d imagined, and—as Elspeth had repeatedly pointed out—looked darn good in a kilt. Brando had a sense of humor. For all she really knew, Connal MacGregor had none of those things. So what was she doing, standing here gaping at him with her stomach tied in knots and her heart beating faster?

Being an idiot, that’s what.

She really needed air.

What was it that Brando’d said? The loch finds a way to make things happen even when the head won’t listen.

Talisman VBT

Blurb:
Just one kiss to break the spell...

That's all she needs.

Cursed by a jealous witch, Penelope DeLacroix's spells are all going wrong and backfiring, creating havoc in town. The vengeful witch won't quit until she has all of Penelope's powers. And all it will take is one perfect, heartfelt kiss from Penelope's one true love to put an end to all this turmoil.

The only problem? Penelope has no idea that Dr. Lucas Collier, the compassionate local veterinarian, is in love with her. Nor does he know that she's in love with him. They're both too stupid to figure it out.

But I know.

And I have to do something about it.

But what can I do?

I'm only her cat.

What?

Every witch has a cat.

I'm hers.

I'm Talisman.

And I'm going to fix this.

Excerpt:

“Jessie!  It’s so great to see you,” Penelope exclaimed as she strode forward and enveloped the much older woman in a warm embrace.  “I don’t think I’ve seen you since this summer when you were accepting your first place award for your apple pie at the Shadow festival.  Did you bring one with you?  I just love your pie.”

Jessie grimaced, her face a contorted mask of wrinkles and sadness.  Maybe loneliness.  I’m really smart and talented but I’m not a mind reader.  Who knows what had prompted this surprise visit from the old bat.

Jessie padded her plump figure over to Penelope’s armchair in the receiving area of the shelter where Pen’s desk sat, all worn mahogany and ornate scrolls.  She liked to spend quiet evenings there doing paperwork while she allowed the animals to roam free around her.  She’d speak to all of us in her lilting tone not knowing that we understood her perfectly.

And we wanted to respond, we really did.  Unfortunately, we could only communicate with each other and had to use gestures and actions to try to get through to our mistress.  Even though Penelope was a witch from a long line of ancient witches, her powers didn’t involve any kind of telepathy as some other’s did.

As Jessie sank in to the overstuffed chair, a whooshing noise exploded throughout the room when the air escaped from the cushions under her ample girth.  Too.  Much.  Pie.

Colleen Charles, thanks so much for stopping by. How did you get started writing?
My sister challenged me to write a book based on my own life and to change the ending to the one that I wanted. That book became my #1 best-selling Sports Romance, Closing The Gap.

What was the inspiration for your book?
The narrator is based on my Ragdoll cat, Bingham. He’s a wisecracking smart-ass too. This book is close to my heart because it is the closest to my personality and sense of humor. When it hit #1 and stayed there for almost thirty days, I cried. I’m incredibly proud of this series.

What’s the one genre you haven’t written in yet that you’d like to?
I’d love to write a historical romance but it requires loads of research and the audience is sophisticated so you have to get it right.

Are there any genres you won’t read or write in? Why?
I’m a romance junkie. I also love non-fiction. I won’t write or read anything that bores me. Life is too short. I’m not the reader who will always finish a book. If it isn’t for me, I’m okay with abandoning it.

What are you up to right now? Do you have any releases planned, or are you still writing?
I’m pretty prolific and I tend to publish something new every few weeks. I’m currently writing a series about an MMA fighter.

Alright, now for some totally random, fun questions. Favorite color?
Green. I’m almost 100% Irish and my eyes are green. My skin is the color of Casper.

Favorite movie?
The BBC version of Pride & Prejudice. I watch it every New Years Day and I can recite it. To the annoyance of my family.

Book that inspired you to become an author?
I never wanted to be the writer, I always wanted to be an editor and use my English degree. I still edit just for fun and editing my own manuscript is my favorite part of the process.

You have one superpower. What is it?
The ability to shrink myself without surgery :).

You can have dinner with any 3 people, dead, alive, fictitious, etc. Who are they?
I’d go with my favorite singers since I’m an award winning singer myself. Elvis,Stevie Nicks and Pat Benatar.

Last question: Which of your characters are you most like and how/why?
The character of Lake Harrison in Closing The Gap is based on me so I’d certainly hope that she’s them most like me! I invite readers to sign up for my newsletter and get in touch with me. I still answer all communications personally and some days, the only non-animal communication I receive is from my readers.

Colleen Charles is the pen name of Tami Stark, #1 Bestselling Author on Amazon.

After 26 years in Corporate leadership at a Fortune 500, I discovered people within the organization lacked integrity. I'd always known deep in my soul that I was trying to fit a square peg in to a round hole since I'm the typical creative type. I miss my staff but I don't miss the corporate world. It's been said that the Universe will let you know if something isn't right for you. The first time, it will hit you with a pebble. Then a brick. Then a boulder. Let's just say that I got flattened. When my fifteen pound toy dog, Nigel, was threatened, I knew it was time to say goodbye.

It's sad but true.

Here's what I found within the first thirty days of being free. Writing stories from my heart that readers love means more to me than working myself in to an early grave for people who only care about their bottom line.
My heart has never been more full and my soul has never been more satisfied.

I've never worked so hard in my life but it doesn't even feel like work. It's worth it. All of it. Because it's about the joy that's found within the journey. The highs and the lows because I get to write stories for all of you.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading, enjoying and recommending the stories that I write. When you share my work with others, nothing is more rewarding. Your word of mouth is my very best friend ... that, and your reviews. There is nothing more important to me than all of you.

I love to hear from my readers and answer all communications personally.
