Twofer Review Tour

Blurb:
Bottoms up!

If a college freshman can’t get laid in sun-drenched Miami, he’s doing something wrong. Frankie Perez is determined to help his roommate get some man action in any way possible.

When Frankie’s arsenal of dating apps, fashion advice, and playing-hard-to-get lessons doesn’t work, he realizes Jeremy needs remedial help. Except tutoring Jeremy in the art of sex gets steamier than Frankie expected—and it scares the hell out of him.

Jeremy’s not sure why he’s wasting his time hooking up when he’s only got eyes for the slinky, sexy roommate he comes home to at night. But the hotter their chemistry simmers, the quicker Frankie dances away.

In near desperation, Frankie suggests the two of them team up to find a third to top them both, forgetting that two bottoms aren’t immune from lusting after each other. In a world where every man is an option, choosing one to love can be the sexiest risk of all.

Warning: Contains questionable morals, copious immature hijinks, an X-rated photo shoot, and disastrous threesomes. Sex toys were misused (but not harmed) in the making of this book.

Excerpt:

“Yeah, sure.” Jeremy shuffled under the covers, hiding the fact that he couldn’t seem to get his erection under control. Normally, humiliation was enough to make even the most insistent h**d-on shrivel, but Frankie’s hint of accent was just like the guy in the porn movie’s had been.

Though he’d grown up in Miami, Frankie still had a bit of his parents’ Spanish accent. Mostly Frankie talked like anyone else Jeremy had met at Miami Central University, but when he got drunk, Frankie started dropping his h’s and he got rounder in his vowels.

“You need to get out more, honey.” Frankie went to his bed, spun, and landed on top of his folded clothes. “Tonight’s that party you’ve been planning to go to, right?”

Jeremy bit at the edge of a fingernail. He hated looking like he had no social life. “I’m not sure I’m going.”

“Of course you are.” Frankie unfastened his jeans. In a sinewy move, he rolled his skinny jeans down his legs, revealing a fascinating stretch of brown skin between his fuchsia briefs and the white denim at his ankles. “That guy you like is going to be there?”

Jeremy dragged his attention away from the sight of Frankie Perez crunched into a ball to free his feet. “Yes. Yacob is going to be there.” Jeremy stood to get his toiletry bag but lingered by his shelves. “He’s hot, isn’t he?”

“Oh, yeah.” With his pants off, Frankie wore nothing but a deep V-neck and bright underwear. He stretched his arms over his head, filling his bed, and casually scratched his balls. “I dig the foreign-exchange thing. Russian, huh? What was the last one, Greek?”

“Yeah.” Jeremy had a thing for exchange students. So what? They always seemed nice. Not only that, but they were the only gays in school who might also be virgins. “My friend Austin has to work, though, and I don’t think going alone would—”

“Oh, it doesn’t matter if you go alone. You’ll run into people you know.”

Jeremy shrugged. Other than Austin and Frankie, Jeremy hadn’t made too many friends at school. Between being gay and being from a small town, he always felt out of place. What few gay men he’d met were all like Frankie. Jeremy supposed the polite word was cosmopolitan, though Jeremy’s older sister would have called them sluts. “I have to study anyway, so—”

“Good Lord, I’ll go with you.” With a dramatic yawn, Frankie climbed out of bed. “I can’t handle you walking around with a twenty-four-hour erection anymore. We could use that thing as a coat hook.” He grabbed a fresh pair of underwear.

Timeless Passion Review Tour

Blurb:
Museum director Tasha Banner needs a miracle. Without a great deal of luck and even more money, the pioneer museum will close. But when they demonstrate a Scottish New Year’s tradition, a tall, dark, and yummy stranger walks through the door. Have the faeries sent her a miracle wrapped around the man of her dreams or will altering time bring disaster to them all?

Blacksmith Dougal MacBride walks into his home after a long day and finds strangers celebrating Hogmanay when it’s just days before Christmas. Confused beyond belief and incredibly aroused by the curvaceous bundle in front of his hearth, he is torn between the need to return to his time or remain in the present with the woman who may be his soul mate.

Excerpt:
Dougal MacBride froze in his tracks in the doorway of his home.

“Happy New Year,” shouted a group of people he didn’t recognize. They stood in a small group gathered around his kitchen table.

They were dressed in strange clothing— brightly-colored coats on the men, women, and children alike. The women wore scandalous dungarees and their heads weren’t covered.

Fear gripped his throat and pounded at his temples. Who were these strangers and what were they doing in his home? They didn’t seem threatening, but Dougal looked around for a weapon and spotted the fire poker. “What are ye doing here?”

The strangers stared at him with eager anticipation, but for what he didn’t know. “Tell me, what are ye doing here?”

The only decently dressed woman stepped forward. Her floor-length dress was cinched tightly at the waist, accenting her full hips and ample bosom. Her blue eyes twinkled like the clear winter’s sky and her auburn curls, peeking out from under her white bonnet, framed a pretty face.

“Welcome to my home.”

 “Yer home?”

The room felt warm to his cheeks, so he knew the fire had been blazing for a few hours. Whatever their reason for being here, he wouldn’t allow them to stake a claim to his home. He waved his hand at them, like swatting at bothersome flies. “Be gone with ye.”

The woman’s blue eyes clouded to a cool gray. “I’m Mrs. MacBride, the Scottish woman in the village and…”

“Yer not.”

About the Author:

Secret of the Manor CoverTaylin Clavelli lives in the United Kingdom, about 15 miles south of Birmingham, and a short journey from the world famous Cadbury’s Chocolate factory. She’s married with children and loves her family with all her heart.

Her love of books has been a long standing affair, with Taylin liking nothing better than to lose herself in an imaginary world.

Until she met Lily Velden, she never considered trying her hand at writing. However, after talking ideas, Lily encouraged her to put pen to paper—or rather, fingers to keyboard. Since, with a few virtual kicks in the right place, she hasn’t stopped. Her confidence eventually led to her writing an original work for submission.

Her first published work was Boys, Toys, and Carpet Fitters, developed for the Dreamspinner Press Anthology – Don’t Try This At Home.

Now she absolutely adores immersing herself into the characters she creates, and transferring the pictures in her brain to paper, finding it liberating, therapeutic, and wonderful.

Outside of writing, her interests include; martial arts (she’s a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Taekwon-do), horse-riding, all of which facilitates her love of a wide variety of movies. Her action heroes include Jet Li and Tony Jaa—finding the dedication these men have for their art combined with their skill both amazing and a privilege to watch. If pressed, she’ll admit to thinking that the screen entrance of Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean – Curse of the Black Pearl, and Shadowfax in LOTR, to be the greatest screen entrances ever. Her all-time favorite movies are Star Wars and Lord of the Rings.

The simple things in life that make her day, putting a smile on her face are:

Laughter – especially that of her children.

The smell of lasagna cooking – it makes her mouth salivate.

The dawn chorus – no symphony ever written can beat the waking greetings of the birds.

A Hard Day's Night Review Tour

Blurb:
High school senior Kalin (Lennon) Macready knows several facts for certain: John Lennon is his hero. Beaumont Finley Danforth II (Fin) is his best friend. And—this is the complicated one—he feels more for Fin than mere friendship.

For weeks, Lennon pesters Fin, who like Lennon admits to questioning his sexual orientation, for a commitment to spend twenty-four hours together exploring “the gay side of life.” Fin reluctantly agrees. Each boy will seek to answer the daunting question, Am I gay? Lennon pre-plans the day, filling the hours with what he assumes “gay life” is all about: shopping for fashionable clothing, indulging in lavish dessert crepes, boogying to Taylor Swift’s “Shake it Off”, and yes, listening to show tunes.

However, Lennon quickly realizes that in creating his plan he has succumbed to the most common and distorted of gay stereotypes. Can he be gay and not fit them? And more importantly, is it possible that spending one very hard day and night together will help Fin accept that he’s gay, too? If so, maybe Lennon has a shot at winning the heart of the boy of his dreams.

“A Hard Day’s Night” is an amusing young adult contemporary romance about two boys who seek to discover if they must fulfill stereotypes to be together.

In the end, maybe all you need is love.

Excerpt:
“Okay, ladies... and, um, dudes... let’s take it from the top!”

I’m not sure how much Fin and I really like that Boom Boom Pow, but we’re quick learners and we know how to “jack the style” of the fifteen middle-aged Moms at the On Stage Dance Academy’s Super Saturday Zumba Fitness Class.

Here’s a brief rundown of how we ended up shaking our booties at a com- petition dance school’s Saturday afternoon Zumba class:

Warning—it ain’t perty.

Everybody knows the song “Dancing Queen” by ABBA. It is arguably the number one song representing the queer man’s love of grooving. Now, rock ‘n roll, and I will venture to label ABBA’s hit as such, has long been all about the way the political breezes are blowing, and since the song’s release in 1976, the gay community has embraced it. Though purely unintentionally on ABBA’s part, “Dancing Queen” has become more of a political statement regarding busting out of the closet than a mere song about dancing with your prom date. And so, I thought I’d take Fin dancing in my effort to explore our gay pride.

See where I’m going with this?

Problem: We are barely eighteen years old. We do not own fake IDs. Even if my Jeep could handle the two-and-a-half hour trek to Boston, we would get laughed out of any dance club at which we dared to we show our boyish faces.

What to do? What to do?

I knew that as part of our gay exploration it was critical that we dance and jive and feel the beat from the tambourine. But where could Fin and I do this both locally, and legally?

It hit me like a sledge hammer—Zumba Fitness Class!

Mia Kerick is the mother of four exceptional children—all named after saints—and five nonpedigreed cats—all named after the next best thing to saints, Boston Red Sox players. Her husband of twenty-two years has been told by many that he has the patience of Job, but don’t ask Mia about that, as it is a sensitive subject.

Mia focuses her stories on the emotional growth of troubled young people and their relationships, and she believes that physical intimacy has a place in a love story, but not until it is firmly established as a love story. As a teen, Mia filled spiral-bound notebooks with romantic tales of tortured heroes (most of whom happened to strongly resemble lead vocalists of 1980s big-hair bands) and stuffed them under her mattress for safekeeping. She is thankful to Dreamspinner Press, Harmony Ink Press, CoolDudes Publishing, and CreateSpace for providing her with alternate places to stash her stories.

Mia is a social liberal and cheers for each and every victory made in the name of human rights, especially marital equality. Now marital equality is the law of the land!! WOOT!! Her only major regret: never having taken typing or computer class in school, destining her to a life consumed with two-fingered pecking and constant prayer to the Gods of Technology.
